JOB TITLE: SEO Strategist

REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager

You will be responsible for implementing effective SEO strategies that improve online visibility, drive traffic, increase rankings, and work towards the mission of Open the Bible.

PURPOSE:

We are a growing ministry looking to add a dedicated SEO Strategist to our marketing team in Barrington, IL. As an SEO Strategist, you will optimize our digital and website strategies in order to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and conversion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all SEO strategies and initiatives in order to increase organic traffic
• Write and optimize blog posts and other website content to improve search visibility
• Update existing content to improve SEO
• Perform regular SEO audits and analysis
• Maintain an expert understanding of Google’s latest updates and search trends
• Drive strategic oversight of SEO initiatives, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and backlinking strategy
• Use Google Search Console to address areas of growth
• Uses Google Analytics to monitor key performance metrics of content marketing such as website traffic, engagement, and performance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience/certification(s) in SEO, marketing, web development, or related discipline
• 2 years of experience and proven track record in SEO/web optimization
• Good familiarity with marketing terms and principles
• Hands-on experience with: SEMRush, Sistrix, Google Search Console, WordPress, Google Analytics, Zapier, Neon or similar CRM
• Willingness to adapt and grow with the needs of the position and the organization
• Desire to work well on a team to accomplish marketing goals
• Full alignment with Open the Bible’s mission and Statement of Faith
• Ability to commute to our office in Barrington, IL on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
• Ability to work remotely days you are not in the office
